Please note that you will be presented with copies of these Ts&Cs, along with a safety guide, when your paddleboard and equipment is dropped to you, and required to sign to say that you agree with them.
Sandbanks Paddleboard Hire is a responsible hirer of water based equipment and we value our customers' safety as our No1 priority.
SPH (Sandbanks Paddleboard Hire) carries specialist Stand Up Paddleboard hire Public Liability Insurance up to £2,000,000. This means that if customers have an accident on our boards and/or damage someone else’s equipment, our insurance can pay up to £2,000,000 in costs whilst the boards are under hire.
Some customers might like to further insure themselves personally for Public Liability should they wish to for further peace of mind and we recommend this company for easy online Personal Public Liability Insurance for SUP Hire. SUPINSURE.COM
Our equipment is also insured for Loss, damage and theft. Under UK Law, the equipment can only be insured once and we have done this already. Should the equipment be lost, damaged beyond reasonable repair or stolen whilst under the HIRE AGREEMENT PERIOD, customers will be charged a maximum of £150, and any claims would be made under SPH insurance policy.

WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
The undersigned hereby waives and releases all claims of negligence or strict liability arising out of use or misuse from equipment provided from SPH. I fully understand, recognise, and accept that these kinds of sports can pose inherent risks and dangers such as the possibility of injury to myself or others, damages to equipment, and even death. As a condition for the use of these SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) boards, kayaks and accessories I will assume all responsibility for any injury or damage of any nature and extent. I agree to use my best judgement in undertaking this activity.
LOSS & DAMAGE
I shall be responsible for any loss or damage to the SUP board, kayak and / or related accessories for any reason whatsoever. In the event of equipment malfunction or failure becoming apparent during the period of hire, I will return it immediately or notify SPH. I acknowledge that no repairs of any kind are to be made to the SUP Board, kayak or accessories without the prior consent of SPH. In no event shall SPH be responsible for any expenditure, inconvenience or loss incurred by me.
RETURN OF GOODS
Deposit will be refunded in full once all equipment is returned to SPH on or before the due date, in good order and condition. I agree to pay any damages suffered to any equipment. Fees applicable for the late return of rental boards and equipment (daily rate plus 20%). There are no refunds on early returns.
